This Thursday June 20th is our Summer Solstice and marks the midpoint of summer where the Day is the longest of the year, and the night is the shortest.
While the Spring Equinox begins this journey and represents new beginnings, the Summer Solstice represents the next step of this divine rhythm. Always occurring at the start of the Cancer Sun Season, the Summer Solstice reminds us to turn inward and find the nourishment needed to grow and evolve.
The word “solstice” comes from the Latin “solstitium”, which translates to “sun stands still”, making this the perfect day for us to be present and connect back in. Use this as a mid-year check in on how your year has transpired so far and if any intentions you set at the Equinox are progressing.
This annual event is made extra potent being just one day before a rare full Strawberry moon on June 21.
